Cecil A. Abernathy, 78, died March 9, 1985, at Bellevue Nursing Center after a short illness. Born in Kingfisher County. Was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Graduated from Old Classen and Oklahoma University. Member of the Oklahoma City Symphonic Choirs and active in city church choirs. He was retired from Leasing and Building Manager, retiring in 1972 from the 2000 Classen Properties.
Survived by wife, Dorothy, brother, Lester Abernathy, cousins, Mrs. Fred Jones, Mrs. Phil Daugherty, Mrs. Winfred Fowler and a host of friends. Services 4pm, Monday, Smith and Kernke Funeral Chapel with interment Rose Hill Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, First Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
