"Barbara Ann Black Wright, 64, of Shelby, died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

Born October 26, 1946 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Bill Parker and Bessie Hamrick Parker Walker. She was a member of Plainsview Baptist Church in Lawndale and the Cleveland County Rose Society. She worked for Putnam Baptist Church Daycare.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Black; three brothers and one sister.

Survivors: husband of 6 years, Fred Wright of the home; two sons, Darrel Black and wife, Sandy of Shelby and Todd Black and wife, Tania of Grover; stepson, David Wright and wife, Terrany of Shelby and stepdaughter, Donna Wright of Spartanburg; one grandson, Phillip Black of Shelby and two step grandchildren, Caleb Wright and Katelyn Wright of Shelby; brother, Clyde Parker of Kingston; and three sisters, Jane Sipes of Fallston, Shirley Edwards of Shelby and Mary Rogers of Shelby.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel
