Mary Ellen "Jane" Brown, born January 13, 1921 in Bloomer, Arkansas, died on March 14, 2001 at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of WCRC and the Center Hill Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil A. Brown; her parents, William and Mattie Lairamore Hibbard; a sister, Ruby Waddell; three brothers, Buel, George, and Johnny; a son, Jerry; and one great granddaughter, Amber Ethridge.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Timperley of Fremont, Nebraska; four sons, Ancil of Ravenden, David of Belvidere, Illinois; Allen and Michael of Paragould; three brothers, Marshal of Lodi, California, Bill of O'Kean, and Leon of Walnut Ridge, and a sister, Betty Holder of Paragould. Jane leaves 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at House-Greg's Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with Michael Cox officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Military Cemetery at Sedgwick, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Tony Greer, Brandon Greer, David Brown, Travis Gatlin, Aaron, Joshua, and Joey Ethridge.
Memorials may be given to Women for Crowley's Ridge College "Sara Bills Endowment Scholarship Fund" in lieu of flowers.
