Lawrence Vincent Gann, 92, passed Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at his home. He lived in Olive Branch for four years, formerly a longtime resident of Jonesboro.
He was born February 1, 1929, in Poinsett County to the late Joe and Elizabeth Belle Vincent Gann. He retired from General Electric. He enjoyed yard work, gardening, fishing, and hunting and loved Cardinal Baseball. He was a longtime member of the Pentecostals of Jonesboro and currently a member of the Hope Chapel of Olive Branch.
He is survived by his wife of seventy-two years; his children, Larry (Wanda), Brenda (Danny), and Eddie (Nilah); eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
He was also preceded in death by brothers, Clyde Gann, Bill Gann, Johnny Gann, and Oadis Gann and sisters, Hazel Johnson and Fannie Moore.
A celebration of his life will be at 11:00 am Friday, December 10, 2021, at Pentecostals of Jonesboro at 5312 S. Caraway Road with Rev. Darrell Runyan and Rev. Ryan Vanderford officiating. Interment will follow at Nettleton Cemetery under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service Friday at the church.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Riley Gann, Rene Rubio, Mason Haney, Westley Ellis, Jaden Barlar, and Cooper Haney.
