From the Millard County Chronicle July 23, 1942:

Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Lovell Wells Lovell, aged 57, of Oak City, were conducted at Oak City Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Lovell died in a Salt Lake City hospital Saturday night of carminomatosis. She was the wife of Lorenzo T. Lovell.

She was born August 6, 1894 in Oak City, a daughter of John E. and Harriet Jane Lovell. Her first husband, Joseph S. Wells, died in 1917, and in 1923 she married Mr. Lovell. She was a member of the LDS church.

Surviving are her husband, her parents, a son, Joseph Wells, and three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Lyman of Provo, Mrs. Harriet Finlinson and Miss Kathleen Lovell, both of Oak City; five grandchildren and six sisters and a brother, Mrs. Silva Harris, Miss Lulu Lovell and Clark Lovell, all of Oak City, Mrs. Belva Jones of Sutherland, Mrs. Gene L. Gardner of Delta, Mrs. Niel L. Barlow of Lucin, and Mrs. Angeline Mecham of Tropic.

Burial was in the Oak City cemetery.
