As far as I know she was the only daughter of James Freeland and Caroline Bowman and Annie had four brothers. She married Dr. Charles Cogswell Jewett at an unknown date and had at least one child - Freeland Jewett. She was most probably named after her paternal grandmother, Annie Walker, wife of Phineas Freeland. Her grandparents ran a summer hotel at Claverack, Columbia County, New York until about 1825 when Phineas died at Claverack, New York. Annie's grandmother, Annie Walker Freeland, died in Massachusetts at a later date. Annie's husband may have been an army doctor and the family may have had to travel around because of Charles's job. There is a genealogy of the Jewett family available at the New York Public Library.
