John Fay of Campbellsville, son of the late John Fay and Mary Feeney Fay was born January 25, 1924 in New Rochelle, New York. He died at 6:20 P.M., Sunday, May 1st, 2011 in Campbellsville. Age: 87
He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and a long time volunteer at the C& S Mission store.
He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Navy.
He was a retired engineer at Parker Kalon.
He united in marriage to Mary Sue Galvin October 27, 1956. She preceded him in death March 22, 1997.
He is survived by five daughters and one son and their spouses: Mary Lou and Richard Ross of Georgia, Margaret and Stephen Bertrand, Susan and Stan Milby and Joanne and Gary Mowery of North Carolina, Jeanne and Tony Smith of Campbellsville, and John and Yvonne Fay of Hodgenville; eleven grandchildren: Faith Ann Moffatt, Margaret-Ann Melvin, Steven Ross, Robert Ross, Amanda Smith, Heather Smith, Whitney Milby, Brittany Milby, Dalton Fay, Mason Fay and Nova Fay; four great-grandchildren: Carol Ann Melvin, James Joseph Melvin, Elese Ann Moffatt, Aidyn Charles Woodward; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
