Irma Mae Jenkins passed away Monday, April 25, 2011. A life long resident of Covington, she was born Dec. 9, 1934, to the late Charlie H. and Gertrude Rogers Jenkins.
The beloved wife of the late Rev. Frederick Jenkins, she is the mother of Melanie J. Cleland, the late F. Michael Jenkins and Pamela Ellen Sharp; sister of Wilson, Hancel, Showalter, Irma, Aline Jenkins and Joy Neal and the late Tom, Wylie, Reuble, Raymond, Doyle and Adrian Jenkins and Vernie Hunt; stepsister of, Charlie, Floyd, John, Ray and Clyde Jenkins, Ella Mae Johnson, Olecia Friloux, Evelyn Petree, Avi "Crick" Riles and the late Joe and J.B. Jenkins. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held yesterday at Sharp's Chapel Church of God, Bush.
Interment was in Sharp's Chapel Cemetery.
