David Franklin Guynn, Sr. age 73 of Pulaski passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2011 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born July 19, 1937 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late James Walter Guynn and Helen Moore Guynn.

In addition to his parents, one sister, Bonnie Guynn Owens also preceded him in death.

He attended the Peak Creek Mission of Prayer Church and he was an evangelist in the surrounding counties of Virginia and West Virginia. He graduated from Pulaski High School.

He is survived by his wife- Helen Carr Guynn-Pulaski.

Sons- David Franklin Guynn, Jr. and wife, April Guynn-Wythe County, James D. Guynn-Pulaski. Two Grandchildren, David-Andrew Guynn and Andrea Guynn.

Brother- Bobby Eugene Guynn and Wife, Shirley Guynn-Winston Salem,N.C.

Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law- Michael and Pat Carr- Hudson, NC., James and Sandy Carr- Round Hill, VA., Donald and Robin Carr- Mentoka, VA., Randy Carr-Radford, Karen and Robert Fagleman-Burlington, N.C.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 3:00 p.m. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Dale Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the Peak Creek Mission of Prayer Church Cemetery, Pulaski.
