Amerman, Arthur E.
Age 87, of South Lyon, formerly of Ann Arbor, passed away peacefully May 1, 2011. Mr. Amerman was a highly decorated Veteran. He proudly served his country as a First Lieutenant during World War II in the Army Air Corps as a B-25 Bomber Pilot. He was stationed in India from 1944 - 1946 and flew in 130 missions. Following his honorable discharge he served in the Air Force Reserve. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Betty Lou Amerman; his children, Nancy (Larry) Kidd, Douglas (Terrie) Amerman, Tom (Diane) Amerman, Katherine (John Vogel) Amerman, and Karen (Tim) Kuhn; his sister, Nora Mae (John) Errante; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Casterline Funeral Home, Inc. 59255 Ten Mile Road, South Lyon. Mr. Amerman will be laid to rest at Arbor Crest Memorial Park in Ann Arbor. The family would appreciate memorial contributions to Shalom Lutheran Church, 1740 East M36, Pinckney, MI 48169.
