Abigail Cobb "Abbie" (Barrows) Hotaling (also variously spelled as "Houghtaling" or "Hotailing") was a daughter of Seth Barrows, Jr. & Ruth Ann (Atwood) Barrows.
Abigail was married to John G Hotaling / Houghtaling, NOT to be confused with her sister Amelia's husband John H Houghtaling. Abigail and Amelia's husbands John had different sets of parents. The TWO John's were, in fact, close cousins.
Abigail was a Mayflower Descendant via her maternal grandmother Patience (Cobb) Atwood, and a 4th great grand niece of Mayflower Passenger Alice (Atwood) Mullins, wife of William Mullins, and mother of Priscilla (Mullins) Alden. Abigail's connections to Alice (Atwood) Mullins were via her maternal grandfather Samuel Atwood, and her paternal grandmother Abigail (Atwood) Barrows. Samuel Atwood and Abigail (Atwood) Barrows were 1st cousins.
Abigail was a sister-in-law to my 3rd great-aunt's Lucy (Brown) Barrows, Rhoda (Brown) Barrows, and Hannah C. (Brown) Keys Muckey Barrows.
