Ruth M. Rineer, 91, formerly of Country Meadows, Mechanicsburg, PA, passed from this life Saturday, April 30, 2011.
She was born November 9, 1919, in Harrisburg, PA, daughter of the late Harry and Nora McLaughlin.
She was a graduate of John Harris High School. After graduation she went to work for United Telephone Company until her retirement 40 years later.
Ruth was active in the former State Street United Methodist Church and later became a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was the widow of Jack L. Rineer.
Ruth is survived by a nephew, William R. Miller, and his son, Steve Miller and wife, Sherrie and family of Hughesville, PA; a niece, Brenda Davis and husband, Jerry and family of Scranton, PA; and their daughter, Donna Rick and husband, Mark and family of Harrisburg, PA. Ruth is also survived by her companion Ervin Potteiger of New Cumberland, PA.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 9, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland, PA. There will be a visitation from 9:00 a.m., until the time of service.
Interment will be held in East Harrisburg Cemetery, Hbg., PA.
