George A. Rusnak, 82, of Kenilworth passed away Jan. 6, 2010, at Overlook Hospital, Summit. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Theresa's R.C. Church, Kenilworth, on Monday, Jan. 11, at 10 a.m. following the funeral from the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, at 8:30 a.m. Interment is in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Newark. Mr. Rusnak was born in Simpson, Pa., settled in Elizabeth and lived the last 36 years in Kenilworth. He was a machine operator for the Thomas & Betts Co. in Elizabeth for 30 years, retiring 20 years ago. Mr. Rusnak was a World War II Army veteran, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council in Elizabeth. He was predeceased by his son, George Jr. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Elizabeth (Grzywacz); son, Thomas and his wife, Marygrace; two daughters, Mary Beth Graf and her husband, Wade, and Anita Phillips and her husband, Allen; three brothers, Stephen (Sparky), John (Chick), and Edward. He was the cherished grandfather of Ashley, Katrina, Christopher, Allen Michael, and Megan.
