Son of John Vail and Margaret Laing.

Married to Phebe Jackson, April 23, 1766. They had 13 children.

At Rahway on Thurs the 7th of typhoid fever, David Vail in his 84th year of his age. A numerous train of relatives are left to lament the loss of the deceased, who led a life of virtue and piety and died with a bright hope of everlasting bliss beyond the grave.
