Bathsheba Shotwell Line was daughter of Ralph Shotwell 1773–1826 and Elizabeth Marsh Shotwell 1776–1812.
She married to Isaac Newton Line in 1828, Rahway and Plainfield MM. Their union resulted in nine children: in which six of the nine are linked.
A) Daughter Betsey Shotwell Line b. 1833, death recorded in MM records as 4mo, 10, 1835.
B) Daughter Phebe Line b. 1838, married Jacob Laing (b. 1836) on 25 Dec 1861, in Sussex, New Jersey. Jacob first married her sister Sarah Line, whom died young. Phebe had five children: Mary C. Laing b. 25 Dec 1862, Elizabeth Lizzie H. b. 1865, Julie B.D Laing 1866-1944, m1 Franklin Pound m2 Mr. Wilson, she is buried in Hillside Cemetery, Charles "Charley" Edward Laing 1868-1951, buried Atlantic View Cemetery, and William James Laing b. 1876. Their last known census in 1910, indexed as Lang, in Newark and lived next door to son William. Their deaths or burials have not been determined, records are vague likely due to marriage outside of Quaker norms.
C) Rachael Allen Line b. 1845, d. Feb 1880, m. Abram Poole Voorhees 1844-1912, two children; James G Voorhees 1869-1932, and Maggie L. Voorhees 1806-1887 m. Harry Herbert Pennoyer.
