Virgie Mae Bagwell passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Gainesville Health and Rehab Center at the age of seventy-nine. She was born in Gainesville, Texas July 15, 1936, the daughter of John Henry and Charity Elizabeth (Stephens) Lyle.

Virgie was a homemaker and had worked at Linda Jo Shoe Factory for fifteen years. She was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Artie Wayland Bagwell of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Randy Germany of Gainesville; grandsons, Brad Germany and wife, Shelbie of Gainesville, Stephen Battles of Whitesboro, Artie Weir of Gainesville and Tony Weir, Jr. of Gainesville; granddaughter, Karamee Kiser and husband Konah of Gainesville, fifteen great-grandchildren and two on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Paula Battles; brother, Ed Worth Lyle; sister, Leta Faye Malone; grandson, Cody Patrick Germany and half-brother, Ray Lyle.

Funeral Services held Sunday, December 13th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Rev. David Whittington officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
