Born in Bullau,Hessen, Germany. His name was Johann Wilhem Haus. In 1867 married Maria Elizabeth Vey of Germany. In 1887 the family arrived in American went through Castle Garden Immigration Center.The Castle Garden was a old fort on the lower tip of Manhattan. In the 1900 Census the family shows up in Bath, Greene, Ohio by then added two more children to the family. His daughter Elizabeth K. was my husband's grandmother. She was two years when the family came to America.
