MARY CECILIA NORRIS JURY HORNBACk, 87, New Haven, died Jan. 4, 2004, at her residence. A native of New Haven, Hornback was a former employee at the Old Dollar Store in New Haven and member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven. She was preceded in death by: her first husband, William H. Jury; second husband, Howard Hornback; parents, William Logan and Mary Pearl Greenwell Norris; a son, James Marion Jury; three brothers, Herbert, Edward and Bill Norris; two stepsons, Jimmy and Bobby Hornback; and several half-brothers and sisters. Survivors include: six daughters, Barbara Hall and Madeline Newton, both of New Haven, Margaret Weidner of Mt. Washington, Pat Lococo and Mary Ann Whelan, both of Louisville, and Cecilia Young of New Albany, Ind.; two sons, Freddy Jury of Louisville and Bobby Jury of Jensen Beach, Fla.; six stepdaughters, Rita Devine of Sarasota, Fla., Theresa Walker and Dorothy Watson, both of Louisville, Frances Lambert and Llona Dennis, both of Clermont, and Marian Miller of Elizabethtown; four stepsons Pat and Tony Hornback of Louisville and Harold Hornback of Oklahoma City, Okla., Fred Hornback of Bend, Org., two sisters, Agnita Weidemann and Alma O'Bryan, both of Louisville; a brother, J.C. Norris of Louisville; 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 28 step-grandchildren; and 20 step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Jan. 8 at St. Catherine Church, New Haven, with burial in the church cemetery. Fr. Clarence Howard officiated. Pallbearers were John Jury, Michael Lococo, Michael Young, Gerard Hall, Bobby Weidner and Butch Newton. Memorial donations may be made to St. Catherine Church, Right to Life or Hospice of Nelson County. Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven, was in charge of the arrangements.
