D. Kay VanBlaricum Blaker 67, of McCordsville, passed away on May 8, 2005.

She was Office Manager for Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary from 1992-1994 and Office Manager for M. Nelson & Associates from 1994, until she retired in 1998, to spend more time camping with her husband and family. Kay was a 1955 graduate of Howe High School and had attended Butler University. She was a member of Irvington United Methodist Church and Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She orchestrated an NFL Weekly Picks competition for over 30 years which included a weekly newsletter called, "The Buzzard", drawing friends and family together. She loved sports, especially watching her grandchildren's activities.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard E. Blaker; 5 daughters, JoDe (Joe) Thomas, Julie (David) Kennedy, Jill (Scott) Hancock, Jamie Blaker & Jennifer (Alan) Whitaker and was a loving GaGa to her 9 grandchildren, Jeff, Morgan, Steve, Pat, Natalie, Chelsea, Joseph, Brady and Alex.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 12 at 11:00 a.m. at The Chapel at Washington Park East Cemetery. Calling will be held on Wednesday, May 11 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Aaron - Ruben - Nelson Mortuary, 1328 W. 86th Street, Indpls. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
