Services Held--Services for Marie Stover were held Monday, July 26, 1999, at the First baptist Church in Monroe. Interment was in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Marie Stover, age 78, passed away at the Des Moines General Hospital on Friday, July 23, 1999.
Marie was born near Monroe, Iowa, July 29 1920, the daughter of Tenis and Grace (Eysink) Van Wyk. Marie attended rural schools and on February 28, 1948, was united in marriage to Delbert A. Stover at the parsonage of the Monroe First Baptist Church. Marie was a longtime active member of the Monroe First Baptist Church.
Surviving is a daughter Delores Donahue and a son and daughter-in-law Marvin and Sue Stover, all of Monroe. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Tracy and husband Darin Clark, Monroe, Jeremy and wife Mena Stover of Germany, and Nathan and Kyle Stover, Monroe; Three great grandchildren, Quinton, Dakota and Tristan Clark, and two brothers, Willis Van Wyk of Monroe, and Dale Van Wyk of Omaha, as well as many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, and two brothers, Wayne and Paul Van Wyk.
