PETERSBURG,WEST VIRGINIA -- Leo Clyde Sites, 95, of Petersburg, died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Grant Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 8, 1916 in Dorcas, W.Va., and was a son of the late Harvey Daniel Sites and Jamiah Elizabeth (Crites) Sites.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lettie M. (Evans) Sites on June 26, 2006; two grandsons, William Patrick Borror and Baby Alt; two great-grandsons, Devin Lee Alt and Logan Michael Kessel; five sisters, Rosetta Hinkle, Hazel Barr, Elva Kesner Borror, Mary Sites and infant, Mina "Molly" Sites; three brothers, Marvin Sites, Orville Sites, John A. Sites; and twin boys.

He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Dorcas Baptist Church.

Surviving are three sons, W. Clyde Sites and wife Linda of Moorefield, W.Va., Roger Leo Sites and wife Sylvia of Petersburg, Lysle Richard "Dick" Sites and wife Jane of Dorcas; four daughters, Delores Alt Propst and husband Tom of Dorcas, Phyllis Kessel Cessna and husband Gary of Martinsburg, Joan Elizabeth Sites-Welch and husband Donnie of Ashland, Va., Julia M. Kerns and husband Gerry of Dorcas; 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren; he was a loving father to 500 plus foster children; and one sister, Irene "Polly" Iman of Dorcas.

Family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Davis and Pastor Tom Propst officiating.

Interment will be in Whispering Winds Cemetery, Dorcas.
