Mrs. Rosetta W. Hinkle, 106, of Dorcas, went to her heavenly home, May 28, 2006, at her residence. She had been in good health and mind until the time of her death.
Born Aug. 1, 1899, in Dorcas, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Daniel Sites and Jmimia Elizabeth (Crites) Sites. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frederick E. Hinkle Sr., Oct. 12, 1982; four sons, infant Doris Hinkle, Norman Dale Hinkle, Ralph "Bobby" Hinkle and Frederick E. Hinkle Jr.; one daughter, Irene H. Kite; one grandson, William Nelson Fisher II; one infant great-grandson, Anthony J. Kite; two sisters, Elva Borror and Hazel Barr; and two brothers, Marvin Sites and Orville Sites.
She is survived by three daughters, Lorraine Fisher and husband, William "Wimp," of Moorefield, and Shirley Hinkle and Ilene Weese and husband, Clyde, all of Dorcas; one son, Lawrence "Buzz" Hinkle and wife, Janet, of Dorcas; one sister, Irene Polly Iman of Petersburg; one brother, Leo C. Sites of Petersburg; son-in-law, Jack Kite of Moorefield; daughter-in-law, Hartzelle Hinkle of Dorcas; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and special friend of the family, Wayne Weese of Dorcas.
Funeral services were May 30, at the Schaeffer Funeral Home chapel, Petersburg. Interment was in the North Mill Creek Cemetery, Dorcas.
