Rhoda was the daughter of Nathaniel Reed and Mary (Polly) Cook. She married John Hunt. Their marriage bond is dated 16 Feb. 1784; however, the bond may have been entered into subsequent to the actual marriage, as many of the bonds seem to have been. She is presumed to have been born, and to have died, in Hopewell Twp., old Hunterdon (now Mercer) Co., NJ. The 1880 Census record for her daughter Ruth White confirms that the mother (Rhoda) was born in New Jersey.
