Ann is the daughter of Thomas and Anna Davis.

Jan 19, 1944 - Carroll Times - Dedham - Funeral services were conducted at the Dedham Methodist church at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon for Miss Ann Davis, who died at 10 o'clock Sunday night at the home of her niece, Mrs Bess Emery, four miles west of Dedham. The Rev. H.H. Proett, minister of the Glidden and Dedham Methodist Churches, officiated.

Burial was in Elba Cemetery west of Dedham and pallbearers were Dave Thomas, Hans Lauridsen, George Schrum, John Meshek, William Hughes, and Arthur McNaughten. Out of town relatives and friends at the rites included: Mrs Mina Martin and Mr and Mrs S.W. Emery, Coon Rapids; Mr and Mrs Dave Hughes, Bayard; Louis Schreck, Templeton; and F.H. Cooney, Carroll

Miss Davis was born in Wales April 1, 1862. She came to this country with her parents when a small girl. After living in Coal Valley, Illinois for two years, the family moved to Carroll county, where Miss Davis made her home from that time forward. Since the death of her brother four years ago, she had lived with her niece, Mrs. Emery. She leaves one brother-in-law, William Davis, of Templeton, and two nieces, Bess Emery of Templeton and Mae Allen of Gray and one newphew, Joy Davis, who is somewhere in the North Pacific.
