Genevieve was a homemaker most of her life and also worked various odd jobs as well. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, St. Anne's Christian Women's Society, and Catholic Order of the Forresters. Some of her hobbies were crossword puzzles, latch hooking, gardening, playing cards, dice games and baking, which she was famous for her "Kolache."
She is survived by her sons; daughters; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; brother, William Schmitt of Cleveland; sisters, Rita Mahloch of Kiel and Emma (Sister Mary Josephine) Schmitt of Manitowoc. She is further survived by other relatives. Genevieve was preceded in death by her brothers, George, Albert, Henry, Joseph, Francis, Clarence; and her one grandson, Jeffery Prahl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday June 15, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church with Rev. James Connell officiating. Family and friends may call at Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home, S. 12th St. on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m., also at church, Huron Ave. on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
