Nellie Louise Slade Dennis, 87, a resident of Cynthiana, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at her residence.
She was born in Harrison County, Ky., Sept 10, 1920, to the late George Washington and Honor Belle Hill Slade. She was a retired childcare worker and member of the Webster Avenue Church of God.
Her husband, Virgil Dennis, preceded her in death.
Survivors include; a niece, Frances Bradford, and numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at the Webster Avenue Church of God, by the Rev. Gary Stith and Rev. Terry McDuffey. Burial was in Battle Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were George R. Bradford, Whilliam Whitaker, Terry McDuffey, Jimmy Gibson, Kinney Gibson and Simpson Green McIntosh.
Honorary pallbeares were Dr. A.C. Wright and Dr. Don Stephens.
