Willie Adams
Willie Roland Adams, 66, of R-2 Jenkins Ferry Road, Martin, died Monday, Feb. 13, in Athens General Hospital.
Born in Oconee County, S.C., he was the son of the late J.R. (Ode) and Dora Long Adams. He lived most of his life in Stephens County. He was an employe of Coats & Clark in the security department, and was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Duke Adams; four sons, Edward Adams of Loganville, Sam Adams of Athens, Ray Adams of Norcross, and Pat Adams of Atlanta; one grandson, John Adams of Loganville, and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Claude Duke of Toccoa.
The funeral was Wednesday at 2 p.m at Liberty Hill Baptist Church, with his pastor, the Rev. Jesse Hilton officiating. Burial was in Stephens Memorial Gardens.
