Ella Asche, daughter of Charles and Pauline Hartwig, passed away Thursday, June 26, 1975 at the Kanawha Community Home. She was born February 22, 1900 in Kanawha, Iowa, and was 75 years, 4 months, and 4 days of age at the time of her death. She had been a resident of the Home since May 18, 1974.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and was a member of the United Methodist Church, Kanawha, Iowa. She received her education in the Kanawha schools and was married to Joe Asche November 30, 1922 at her parents home west of Kanawha, Iowa. They had farmed in the Kanawha, Corwith and Britt area moving to Kanawha in 1934. Mrs. Asche was a member of the Methodist ladies Aid and her hobbies were crocheting and sewing.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. James (Marie) David; Mrs. George (Ruth) Harrison; Mrs. William (Esther) Wilson; 3 sons, Gene, Weirt, and Carl; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Oscar Hartwig; 2 sisters Emma Rhoads and Lena Cooper. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe in 1963 and one sister.
