Pauline Frances Waggy, a resident of Harrisonburg, passed away at the age of 88 on Saturday, April 23, 2011, from Alzheimer's complications. She had recently resided at Evergreene Meadows in Stanardsville. She was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Rockingham County to the late Roy Edgar and Annie Virginia Lam Sellers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Daniel Waggy; five brothers, Charles, Norman, Garland, Nelson and Edward Sellers, and a sister, Susie May.

Polly retired from Owens Brockway and was a longtime member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Harrisonburg. She actively held participation in the Open Door Fellowship and the Rebecca Sunday School Class until her illness. In her youth, she played piano for her home church in the Mountain Valley area near Keezletown .

Surviving are her daughters, Nancy L. Neff and Sue W. Gee, both of Harrisonburg; five granddaughters, Loretta Cubbage and husband, Jeff, Deb Frank and husband, Terry, Suzanne Vance and husband, Bill, Ginger Neff and Christy Neff and partner, Marie; five great-grandchildren, Hilary Perry, Caroline Cubbage, Nathan Frank, Wesley Frank and Parker Vance; five great-great-grandchildren, Benjamin Perry, Jack Perry, Mistrella Marsh, Jay Marsh and Kylie Frank; four sisters, Mildred Arnold, Hazel Willi, Jessie Gooden and Iris Jeanne Sword and a great number of nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Jim Grogan will conduct a graveside service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Mount Olivet Cemetery in McGaheysville.

The family will receive for visitation Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
