Gordon L. Gay, Portland civil engineer, war veteran and Scouter, who died Wednesday at the Portland Sanitarium, will be buried Monday in Willamette National Cemetery, following services at the Colonial Mortuary.

Mr. Gay was born February 22, 1896, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He moved to Seattle with his family in 1900, and attended Seattle schools and the University of Washington, where he was a member of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity.

He served with Headquarters Company, 2nd Division, throughout World War I, and also in the Army of Occupation. In 1922 he married Victory MacLeese and in 1940 the family moved to Portland.

While here he was a hydrologist employed by the Corps of Engineers. He was a member of Rose City Post No. 35, American Legion; was a Scouters commander and a scoutmaster at Valley Forge Jamboree. Pallbearers will be members of his Jamboree Scout troop.

Survivors are his widow; two sons, Donald M. Gay, Corvallis, and Richard L. Gay, U.S. Navy, and a sister, Mrs. Gladys Williamson, Seattle.
