Leah Madere Kieffer, a native of Laplace, Louisiana, and a resident of New Orleans for the past 60 years, died Monday 27 Jan 1986 at 11:00 a.m. at age 87 years. She was the wife of the late Joseph E Kieffer and the daughter of the late Lorenza Savoie and Charles Madere. She was the mother of Beatrice Masson and Juanita Godchaux and the sister of the late Bertha Hymel, Pauline Truxello, Clementine Rushing, Dan, Nelson, Lawrence and Charles Madere. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 grandchildren. Services were Wednesday 29 Jan 1986 at St Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, Arabi, Louisiana, with interment in St Bernard Memorial Gardens.
