Bill's parents were John William (1868-1938) and Mary Ann Longstaff (1869-1936) Jones. He married Hazel Teal on April 19, 1916 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. They were the parents of four daughters; Eileen, Johnita, Evelyn M. and Shirley Ann and two sons; William Teal and Robert Lee. Bill was a salesman for an auto parts store.
