She was born Virginia Anne Northrop and since her father was a U.S. army officer, she grew up throughout Europe and the United States. By the time she was 20 years of age Virginia settled in London, England where her stunning looks landed her a contract with the Models 1 agency. A brief but notable career in films followed with her most memorable roles being in the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service as Olympe, the mistress of Bond's father in law and in the cult favorite The Abominable Dr. Phibes as Vulnavia the beautiful assistant to Phibes played by Vincent Price. In 1974 Virginia married industrialist Gordon White, one of the richest men in England. The marriage produced one child, a son Lucas who became a well known polo player. In 1979 Gordon White was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II which in turn titled Virginia, Lady White. The marriage ended in 1991. Virginia died in 2004 at the age of 59 after a several year struggle with cancer.
