John Ketterman, a widely known retired farmer, living about a mile northeast of Flohr's Church, died at half past three o'clock Thursday afternoon at his home from a complication of diseases aged 68 years, 8 months and 27 days.
Mr. Ketterman had been a life long resident of that portion of the county and he enjoyed the esteem of many friends. HE was active in church work and taught a large Bible class in Flohr's Sunday School,.
He is survived by his wife and the following children, George H. Ketterman, of near Arendtsville; Mrs. E. C. Stover, of Arendtsville; Samuel M. Ketterman, of Abilene, Kansas; Charles E. Ketterman, of Greenwich, Ohio; John B. Ketterman, of Cashtown; Calvin D. Ketterman, Harry C. Ketterman and Miss Maud A. Ketterman all at home.
He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Noah Hartman, of near Arendtsville; and
Mrs. J. Fulton Gallagher, of Portland, Oregon.
Funeral meeting at his late home on Sunday morning at nine o'clock. Services and interment at Flohr's Cemetery.
