Death Claims Mother, 67, of Tribune Staff Writer—Mrs. Sarah Stanley Marsh Bowman, 67, died of a heart ailment Wednesday at 1:45 p.m. at her residence, 240 E. 2700 S. She was the mother of Stanley P. Bowman, Salt Lake Tribune staff writer.

Mrs. Bowman was born August 11, 1887, in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Frank and Harriet Hardman Stanley. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and as a young woman was active in Salt Lake dramatic circles.

She was married to M. Horton Marsh June 20, 1906, in Salt Lake City. He died October 11, 1918, and on March 17, 1920, she was married to Peter J. Bowman in Salt Lake City. He died in November 1927.

Mrs. Bowman had served for many years as a PBX operator, having worked for the old Salt Lake Telegram, Salt Lake City Police Department, Checker Cab Co. and Holy Cross Hospital.

Besides her son, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Henry G. (June) Meyer, Salt Lake City; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother; Mrs. James A. (Alice) Giles; Mrs. Christine Monson; Mrs. J. R. (Hazel S.) Kingdon; and Frank H. Stanley, all of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday noon at 255 2nd east, where friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday prior to services. Burial will be in Salt Lake City Cemetery.
