Judge Bradley moved his family to Enterprise, FLorida from Georgia in 1885, and was one of the first Judges in that area. In 1888, after a bitter election the County Seat of Volusia County was moved from Enterprise to Deland. He moved his family to Deland, and continued his work in law. He was a Confederate States of America soldier who at the age of 18, left the Citadel to join his native South Carolinians in the War Between the States, a cause which he always held dear to his heart until the day he died.
