NEWPORT NEWS- Ella Frances Kerfoot Edwards, 92, a Peninsula resident for 86 years, died Wednesday, July 17, at Newport News Baptist Retirement Community.
Mrs. Edwards was born at Wig Hill Plantation in Spotsylvania County. She was a member of Deer Park Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Ida M. Kerfoot of Newport News and Virginia Kerfoot of Jacksonville, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Greenlawn Cemetery by Dr. Gary Burden.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Newport News Baptist Retirement Community, 955 Harpersville Road, Newport News 23601
