Funeral services for Annie Marie Gordon Boothe, 82, of Harrisonburg, were held Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Harrisonburg United Pentecostal Church with Rev. David Bailey and Rev. Jason Paul officiating. Interment followed at Joe Boothe Cemetery in Harrisonburg under the direction of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA.
Mrs. Boothe was born February 21, 1929 in Clayton, LA to Jim and Effie Gordon and passed away Friday, April 1, 2011 in Vidalia, LA.
Mrs. Boothe had been a long-time resident of Catahoula Parish, a member of the Harrisonburg United Pentecostal Church, and a retired employee of the Catahoula Parish School System.
She was preceded in death by by her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Milton Boothe of Harrisonburg; children, Elsie Mitchell of Harrisonburg, Jane King of Jonesville, James Milton Boothe of Harrisonburg, Joseph D. Boothe, Sr. of Harrisonburg, Cecil Boothe of Jonesville, and Danny Paul Boothe of Harrisonburg; a sister, Georgia Strange of Jonesville; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Joseph D. Boothe, Jr., Hilton Boothe, Rod Gordon, Brian Rush, and James Robert Keene.
