Kenosha- Helen R Greve, 66, of 1241 88th Avenue, Kenosha, died Monday 2 November 1992 at her home following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday at Shoreland Lutheran High School. Burial will take place Monday, in St Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Ixonia.
The former Helen R Jaeger was born 4 August 1926 in Ixonia, daughter of Hubert and Ruth Schwefel Jaeger. She married Edgar J Greve 18 June 1950 at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Ixonia.
While her husband served as a missionary in 1959 in Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia), Greve was instrumental in the early stages of the African Medical Mission work with front door dispensary and first aid work. As a registered nurse she had been employed in Appleton and Kenosha hospitals for 24 years, retiring in 1985.
Greve was a member of Lutheran Church of Abiding Word, its choir and ladies group; Lutheran Women's Missionary Society; Shoreland High School Ladies Guild; and Kenosha branch of Children's Service Society of Wisconsin. She was the contact lady for African Medical Missions and a volunteer with the Lakeshore Lutherans for life.
Survivors include her husband; 2 daughters, 9 grandchildren; a brother Albin of Hustisford; and a sister Inez (Gus) Kalas of Hustisford. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lorenz.
