Lucy is the daughter of Joshua Martin Morris. He was born on Saturday, January 5, 1833 in Robertson County, Tennessee and died at age 77 on Tuesday, June 21, 1910 in Vandalia, Audrain County, Missouri. [1] On Thursday, December 18, 1851, at Siloam, Pike County, Missouri married Louisa Frances Willis. She was born on Sunday, April 7, 1833 in New Hartford, Pike County, Missouri and died at age 64 on Tuesday, May 25, 1897 in Pike County, Missouri and is the daughter of William Willis and Rhoda A. Farmer. Louisa was baptized Saturday, October 26, 1861 at Siloam Church. The Morris family came to Lincoln County, Missouri from Robertson County, Tennessee when Joshua Martin Morris was about 4 years old. Joshua was raised and educated in Lincoln County, but soon after completing his education, Joshua engaged in farming with his father. In the spring of 1850, at the age of 17, Joshua came to New Hartford in Pike County. He owned 160 acres of land he self-improved and on which he farmed and raised stock. He also had a fine orchard of choice fruit, which completely surrounded the home. In 1860 he crossed the plains to Pike's Peak where he remained after mining for some months. Later he returned home to Pike County. He united with the Baptist Church in 1858. He was considered of fine reputation and a good businessman. [2] On Wednesday, September 28, 1898 in Olney, Lincoln County, Missouri Joshua married Isabelle B. Parsons who was born on Tuesday, February 5, 1850 in Missouri and died at age 81 on Thursday, March 5, 1931 of hypertension nephritis in Cooper County, Missouri. Isabelle is the daughter of William Shelton Parsons, FAG# 37324899 and Mary Margaret Johnston, FAG# 34984376. Joshua, FAG# 44946020 and Louisa, FAG# 44946067 are buried at Siloam Cemetery, Pike County, Missouri. Plot: Row 8 Ward 21 Graves 2 & 1.
