E Bright Coo, 75-year-old retired carpenter, was found dead of carbon monoxide poisoning in the fume-filled garage at his Cashtown home about 4:30 Wednesday afternoon ad Dr. C.G. Crist, Adams County coroner, listed the case as a suicide.
...Mr. Cook had been in ill health for a year and had been under the care of a physician. He had retired from his work as a carpenter about 10 years ago. His wife, Maude Kump Cook, died July 12, 1958.
Mr. Cook was a native of Adams County and a son of the late John R and Mary Mertz Cook. He was a member of Flohr's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are four children, Mrs. Clarence Dougal, Mrs. Paul Cramer and Russell E Cook, all of Chambersburg, and Floyd E Cook, Cashtown. There are 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Four brothers and sisters also survive; Mrs. John Snyder, Gettysburg; Mrs. Charles Stoner, Fairfield; Miss Belva Cook, Orrtanna, and Howard, Bonneauville.
Funeral services Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the Bender Funeral Home with his pastor, the Rev. George Early, officiating. Interment in Flohr's Church Cemetery.
