The Gettysburg Times November 24, 1945

71, Butler township farmer, Gettysburg R. 3, died at his home Friday afternoon at 5 o’clock from the effects of a stroke.
He was a native of Adams County, a son of the late John and Elizabeth Wentz Allison. Mr. Allison was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, of Gettysburg, and the Independent Order of Americans.
Surviving are his widow; three children, Clyde, Arendtsville; Mrs. Howard Deardorff, Gettysburg R. 3, and Mrs. John Raffensperger, Arendtsville; one brother, S. L. Allison, Fairfield, and four sisters, Mrs. Milton Lady, Heidlersburg; Mrs. Alma Beatty, Baltimore; Mrs. William McCleaf, Gettysburg, and Mrs. Elmer Snyder, Biglerville. Five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services from the Allison funeral home, Fairfield, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock conducted by the Rev. George H. Berkheimer, Arendtsville. Interment in Flohr’s cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening.
