Minnie E. Ayers Newton, 106, Lebanon, died at 9 a.m., January 21, 1991, at Cedars of Lebanon Nursing Home, Lebanon. Newton was a native of Taylor County, a housewife, and a member of the Woodlawn Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. Newton in 1949; her parents, Jim and Sarah V. Hopkins Ayers; one son, James T. Newton ; and one daughter, Dolly Begemann. Newton is survived by one son, Otha Newton, Lebanon; five daughters, Altha N. Bland, Campbellsville, Mary Kemp, Greenwood , Indiana, and Bess Isaacs, Minnie Turner and Helen Webb, all of Lebanon; 15 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 49 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-granddaughter. The funeral was at 1 p.m. , January 24, 1991, at Bosley Funeral Home with burial in Palestine Cemetery in Campbellsville. The Rev. Chuck Overton officiated. Pallbearers were: Donald Webb, Charles Webb, Mark Whitehouse , Joe Mattingly, David Whithrow, David Isaacs
