Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Dickie, Central Wyoming pioneer, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Horstman-Gay Chapel, with the Rev. E.T. Rodda, rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, officiating. Services will be held by Ft. Casper Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
Interment will be in the family plot in Highland Cemetery.

Mrs. Dickie, who was 83 years of age, died early Monday morning at the Natrona Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for the last two weeks.
Mrs. Dickie was the widow of an early day Casper merchant, Harry Duhling, later married William R. Dickie. They made their home for many years at the attractive ranch on Claude Creek, east of Casper Mountain, retiring in 1957 and moving to Casper.
As a girl of 6, she accompanied her parents in a covered wagon from Evans, Colo., to Wyoming, in 1885. She was born in Evans March 8, 1879. The family settled first in Sheridan, then moved to Douglas in 1891, for one year, coming to the new town of Casper in 1892. She has been a resident of Casper ever since, for 70 years.
Mrs. Dickie was one of the few persons still living who could recall the terrible blizzard which swept the plains in 1887-1888.
She and Mr. Duhling were married here in 1893. Mr. Duhling died in 1918. She and William R. Dickie were married June 1, 1921, at Thermopolis.
Mrs. Dickie was prominent in social activities here for many years. She was a past president and member of the Natrona County Pioneers Association, a past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star, a member of the Prairie Prowlers Extension club.
She was a lifetime member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Art Gaylord of Casper, and several nieces and nephews.
