WALCOTT, Iowa - Marguerite H. Lahl, of Walcott, Iowa, went home to be with her Lord, on Saturday, February 24, 2007, in Walcott. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 1, 2007, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 28, 2007, from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Runge Mortuary and one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to the Shriners Children's Hospital. Marguerite was born February 6, 1919, in Blue Grass, the daughter of Russell and Hulga (Ehrecke) Shellabarger. She graduated from Davenport High School. She was united in marriage to Howard R. Lahl on November 8, 1942, in Davenport. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2003. She was a loving homemaker. Her past memberships included Plus 60 Club, Daughters of the Nile, Walcott American Legion Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Blue Grass Township Farm Bureau Ladies and the 50th Anniversary Club. Those left to honor her memory include her son, Thomas (Joan) Lahl, Blue Grass; daughter, Linda Campbell, Mason City, Iowa; grandchildren, Charlie Lahl, Iowa City, Sarah Lahl, Schaumberg, Ill., Lori (Todd) Maher, Colorado Springs, Colo., Dr. Debi Campbell, and husband, Chris Roe, Brighton, Colo., and Patti (Steve) Linville, Northglenn, Colo.; three great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn (Arnold) Petersen, Davenport; and a brother, Lyle Shellabarger, Blue Grass. Her parents preceded her in death.
