Russell B. Shellabarger, 75, of Blue Grass died at his home on Wednesday after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Runge Chapel in Davenport. Burial will be in Blue Grass Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Runge Chapel after 7 o'clock this evening.
Russell Shellabarger was born Aug. 30, 1896 in Louisa County. He married Hulga Ehrecke, July 22, 1916. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Davenport.
Mr. Shellabarger was a barber in Blue Grass for several years and later farmed south of Blue Grass retiring in 1962.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hulga Shellabarger at home; one son, Lyle Shellabarger of Blue Grass; two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Marguerite) Lahl of Walcott and Mrs. Arnold (Evelyn) Petersen of Davenport; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
