Hal moved from Garza County to Floyd County in 1937. He married Sudie Lee Miller on Aug. 24, 1944 in Floydada. Sudie died in 1982. He was a member of First United Methodist and a farmer. He was my great Uncle. Ella Day Thomas Riggins was my grandmother. Survivors included a daughter, Sue Mensch of Lubbock and a brother, Bill of Lockney; and two grandchildren. He died in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital after a brief illness.
