Eugene Archibald Alexander, Jr., age 69, well known resident of Frederick, at his home, 559 East Church Street, after an illness of 18 months. Mr. Alexander was born in Middletown, Maryland, and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. Politically he was a staunch Republican and served as deputy sheriff, county constable, keeper of weights and measures, and for 17 years was court bailiff until the beginning of his last illness.
Services on Tuesday, Aug. 15, with mass in St. John's Catholic Church at 9 am. Interment will be in Mount Olivet cemetery. M.R. Etchison & Son, funeral directors.
