Mrs. Ada Alexander Russell, daughter of the late Albert Alexander and Mary Jones Alexander, was born March 13, 1929 in Mecklenburg County. She departed this life on April 8, 2011, at her home.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Plummer Russell of Philadelphia, Penn.; five children: Louise Alexander and Connie Russell of Palmer Springs, Larry N. Alexander and Albert Leon Russell of Richmond, and Shirley Russell of Philadelphia, Penn.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces; and many cousins and friends.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, Apr. 13 at 2 p.m. at Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Boydton, with interment in the church cemetery.
