SGT. CARL BEAVER NOW IS REPORTED DEAD
Reported missing in aerial action over Austria since May 10, Sgt. Carl Beaver, 27, was killed on that date, according to work received Wednesday by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Beaver, 1335 Summit St. Sgt. Beaver, one of three brothers in the armed forces, is known to have participated in at least 10 missions over enemy territory as gunner on a Liberator based with the 15th Air Force in Italy. A graduate of North High School and formerly employed as a mechanic by the Pennsylvania Railroad, he entered the AAF in March, 1941. His brothers are Pfc. Homer Beaver, parachute infantry, and Sea. 1c Edwin L. Beaver, U.S. Coast Guard.
